Ha! I remember all the words we used to describe boys throughout the years. I think it was around middle school that we used the word "fine". He is SOOO fine!
Today is Michael's 29th birthday. I guess next year I'll be throwing the big "30" party- or taking him to Vegas! ;)
He is not as big on celebrating as I am. I want a week of birthday festivities and it is hard to get him to stop and doing anything on his birthday.
I made his favorite- red velvet cake. I would have taken a picture, but it was very ugly. I made it ahead of time and waited until today to put the icing on. It ended up having a lot of red cake specs in the icing. It was still delicious though!
I have been working on his birthday for a while now! Since last spring to be exact. A couple of years ago, he bought me my camera for my birthday. It was a lot more than we normally spend on birthdays- so I knew I owed him one.
I really wanted to do something to surprise him. He is hard to surprise and he rarely gets excited about anything. He doesn't show it anyway.
We are going to an upcoming Alabama game, so he needed some game day attire. I bought him an Alabama Polo shirt. Since I needed one more wrappable gift, I bought him the Alabama Football Vault (the book with the history of Alabama football in it). I wasn't sure if he would like it, but turns out he has looked at before and wanted it.
As you can see, Annistyn's Alabama book was in the picture. He had to read her the book to get his presents. Page 1 said somethiing about wearing crimson and white and had a note to open gift 1- the shirt. Page 2 had a note to open gift 2- the book. A few pages later there is a page that says this- "Wait! What's that I see? Is that an Alabama ticket you are giving me?" Annistyn tore out the fake tickets in there.
Can you read the part I added?
So, yes, I got Auburn/ Alabama tickets for Michael for his birthday! I've been working on it since spring and his uncle helped me out a little.
I have known that I had them for several weeks, so I have been trying not to give away the secret. I am bad at keeping secrets too.
I really think I surprised him and I think he was actually really excited. I was hoping it would be a "wow" present! :)
We ate at Santa Fe in Enterprise and just got home a little while ago.
Ill baby with the gifts...
I have been doing my trunk show this past week. I think it has gone great! I've had fun and I've enjoyed sharing my passion for clothing with others. I sell Shrimp and Grits and you cannot beat the prices! There's not many companies that sell brand new smocked dresses for under $50. I don't have to have my orders in until this weekend, so if you know of something you want- let me know!!! The website is www.shrimpandgritskids.com
They have GREAT fall pieces at great prices. They also have the plain collared shirts in short and long sleeve to put under tops and jumpers. They are only $17. I know I usually spend around $30 for Annistyn's.
In other news- my 18 month old thinks she is 18. This is what she found in my room today and decided she needed to wear it...
The photos say it all....
Sorry for leaving you hanging (no pun intended in reguards to the bra pictures!) the last couple of weeks. I have been super busy! One day I will catch up with everything.... Maybe...
