When Pigs Fly

I hate that I don't have a bunch of cute pictures to go with this post, but I just have to share some of these things Annistyn has come up with lately.

Her vocabulary has grown SO much. She insists on putting words into complete sentences, though sometimes that makes things harder to understand. Like instead of saying, "Cat!" She would say, "LOOK, Mommy! I see a cat!!!!"

She was fascinated with "Baby Jesus" around Christmas. We saw a manger scene in the window of a store in Opp, Alabama and she immediately recognized Baby Jesus. Later that day, we were talking about it with some others and I was wanting to demonstrate her Bible knowledge (Because she WILL tell you the Bible has 2 parts and she can name them- Old and New) I said, "Annistyn, tell them about Baby Jesus. Where was he?" (Hoping for the answer- in a manger...a barn... anything like that)
She says, "OPP!!!!" My next question was who was with him? (Hoping for Mary...)
Her answer- "Donkey! He-Haw! He-Haw!!!!" Hmmm... Not exactly the story I remember. Ha!!!

Sunday she started fussing in her room, saying "Oh no! Oh noooo!!!" I went to see what was wrong and she met me at the door saying, "Mommy! My goat's stuck!!!!!" I just couldn't help but laugh, even though it was a tragedy to her. It's not every day a goat gets stuck at our house. Her Little People goat was stuck in the barn, but it was really funny! It was even more funny when she was telling others about it later. They had no idea what she was talking about.

Just to enlighten you on her personality- I have to share this story from Sunday.

She was holding the pig (from the Little People barn) and threw it across the den.

Me: "Annistyn, you may NOT throw toys inside. Do not throw that pig again."

She raised her arm, as if to throw it.

Me: "Annistyn, NO MAM! If you throw that pig, I am going to spank you. DO NOT throw that pig."

She raised her arm again, while giving me her sneaky eyes.

I said the same thing again and walked out of the room. About the time I turned the corner, I heard the pig fly across the room.

Me: "Annistyn, did you throw that pig????"

Annistyn: "NOOOO" (And she makes 'No' a 2 syllable word)

Me: "Well who did??"

Annistyn: "Mommy did."

Me: "No, Mommy did not."

Annistyn: "Daddy did."

Me: "No, Daddy is not here. Did YOU throw that pig?"

Annistyn: "YES."

Me: "What did Mommy say about throwing pigs?"

Annistyn: "No Maaaa-ammm"

Needless to say, she did throw the pig again (when I turned my back of course) and she did get in trouble this time.

She is very strong-willed.

She also steals my heart though. We say her prayer every night and I let her help me. I always ask her what we thank God for. Tonight her answer was, "Pizza, Mommy, Daddy, Pe-Pe Dog (Finley), pink tree (her Christmas tree in her room), and play food." In that order. Ha!!!!! I love it!

I know that was super boring to probably everyone else (except my Nana), but I just love the things she comes up with!!!!
