Yesterday was my birthday and I had a great day! I have a couple of birthday pictures I'll put up soon. My mom brought me lunch to school. About 1:30, the mom of one of my students brought me an icecream cake. She gave me a gift certificate for a pedicure and a Tyler candle from Loot. Some of my family also sent me flowers to school. We went to eat at the Country Club with my mom, dad, Shelley, and her boyfriend. My mother had a senior moment- even though she's only in her 40's- and spelled my name wrong on my cake (????) She always makes and decorates my cake. I couldn't believe it considering she is the one that spelled my name that way in the first place when she named me!!!! We had a good laugh about it! They gave me several pieces of clothing that I had picked out at Beau Monde. Mostly loose fitting things for after Annistyn is born. My Daddy also gave me some shopping money when he brought me breakfast at 5:30 yesterday morning. I spent it today on some more looser fitting spring clothing at Ansley Place. Michael splurged and bought me a Nikon D80 camera, case, and memory card. I was really excited and hope to become more familiar with it. I love playing around with photography, so I know I'll have a blast photographing Annistyn! We have been practicing on Finley. Michael took some good ones of him today during his lunch break. Here are two that I thought were really cute:

A New Toy
Sunday, January 25, 2009
Not much has been going on around our house. Last week at the doctor Annistyn was still measuring a week early. So March 26 is still the new due date! Only 8 1/2 wks. to go! I think I may have everything hung in the nursery. Michael helped me finish putting some things up on the one wall that was "naked". I am waiting for my mom to finish the throw pillow for Annistyn's glider and overlay for her table. I also am wanting to get her the matching lamp and clothes hamper. I will have pictures up soon!
We had an enjoyable weekend. We grilled steaks at home Friday night. Saturday morning Michael decided not to go hunting. We actually slept until almost 10:00. We are usually up by 8 or 8:30 on weekends- so that was extremely late for us! We hung out at home Saturday and Saturday night went to Santa Fe w/ some friends. We actually called ahead this time so we only waited 5 minutes for a table instead of an hour. When we got back we went to Dairy Queen for the 3rd night in a row. I have been wanting ice cream like crazy!!!
This is my birthday week- so I'm really excited about that! I love eating cake and opening presents!!!! What could be more fun?!
Well, it's Sunday and me and Finley are home alone. I'm about to take advantage of that and get a short nap in before church tonight. Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!!

Over the Hump!
Wednesday is almost over, so I guess we are over the hump of the week and on the downhill slide. Michael has been in Atlanta since Sunday, so me, Annistyn, and Finley have been home alone! We have been pretty lonely and can't wait until he comes home on Friday. Mom and I have been working hard getting the nursery ready this week. It's not finished, but I've completed most of her artwork and even hung some of it on the wall. I would love to put pictures on here, but Michael hasn't seen some of it so I have to let him see it first! Maybe next week I will finish completely and can put pictures up. I just love all of her clothes too, so maybe one day when I am finished with everything else I can take pictures of them all and make a slide show. She has the cutest wardrobe already!!!! By the way, if you've never looked for children's clothing on ebay- DON'T! It's addicting and you'll find yourself spending too much time and money on it. But, hey, most of the clothes are new with tags and about 75% cheaper than boutiques. Well- that's all for today. I'm off to take a warm bath to sooth the aching ribs! :)

Finally....
I've been trying to get our blog going for about 6 months and I think I am finally ready! It's still a work in progress but I know we have an exciting few months ahead and I want to keep everyone updated.
We had a couple exciting things happen this week. First- we picked up Annistyn's bed, carseat, and stroller on Saturday. It gave me butterflies to think that soon there would be a baby coming home in that carseat! Her bed is GORGEOUS and I love it! We had a dr. appt. last Monday and Annistyn is measuring a week early, so that makes her new due date March 26. Only 11 weeks to go and I have a TON of things to do to get ready. Her bedding was waiting for me on the porch when I got home and it is also beautiful! We used the French Angel Toile pattern which is pale pink and light brown. Hopefully I can finish some of her artwork next week. I will post pictures if I ever get it finished!
