Having a Ball!

Annistyn saw this ball at Wal-Mart a couple of weeks ago and had a fit. She really likes to roll the little balls that came with her kitchen and play with the jungle animal ramp that she got for Christmas. So you can imagine how excited she was about a big pink ball in Walmart!!! I was actually looking at the swingsets because that was our birthday present idea and they had strategically placed the huge ball rack beside them.

I have to say we have really gotten our $1.00 out of this!

Even Finley likes it! We are going to have to get him one of his own.

They do a pretty good job sharing it. Sometimes they even swap toys- just for fun.

She really loves to throw (or try to throw) his toys and she claps for him when he goes to get it!

Sometimes Annistyn wants it all to herself.

The REAL reason we were outside today is because we decided to give her the birthday present that we picked up in Dothan last Monday. Michael spent a couple hours putting it together this morning. Annistyn was ill again- her top tooth is coming in! We went to town and ran a couple of errands... well...we went shopping- it wasn't really an errand. It was about 4:30 when we took her out to see it.

First, I let her peek at it out the french door.

She wasn't sure what it was...

But she knew she wanted to get it!

I dressed her in some "play" clothes and her $7 clearance tennis shoes from Wal-Mart. My mom convinced me that she needed some. She said she would be the only kid at the park playing in smocked clothes and Puddle Jumpers. I think that would fine. My mom dressed me like that EVERY day too. Anyway- they are okay for our backyard. I'm just not a tennis shoes and jeans kind of person. I at least put a bow in her hair.

We took her outside when she was dressed and showed her her birthday present!

It was her very own, very first slide and swingset!

We chose this one because the slide is kid-friendly enough that she will learn how to use it quickly and be able to do it by herself soon.

She thought the treehouse part was really fun!

She wasn't sure about the slide at first.

By the 4th or 5th time, she had figured out how to scoot her bottom to slide down and she would clap every time at the bottom!

She caught on really fast.

Her brother caught on fast too!

And Annistyn thought that was really funny!!!

We played on it a while. I think it is going to be a lot of fun!!!!

She didn't really know what to think about the swing at first either. After a couple of "swings" though, she was smiling and clapping and singing to herself while she swang back and forth.

We finished off the night with a bubble bath...

Annistyn liked the bubbles, by the way!

Hope you're having a ball this weekend too!!!
